Astro 101 by Dawn Elizabeth
I really struggled this week about what to write for the Astrology 101 piece. I thought about writing about the Gemini archetype, maybe something about this week's Full Moon or possibly another commentary about all of the communication barriers lately.
I have been very much struck by the frequent occurrence of the number "26" showing up all over the place and have been searching my heart and asking if there feels to be any real significance with this.
Also, I had been seeing the number 11:11 a lot this week. This is not really something new for me. I believe I started to really notice this number frequently sometime around December of 2002.
I'm not really one for believing that every single number we see or "omen" we think we see is always some significant big deal, though I do put a lot of faith in synchronicity ~ especially if there seems to be at least 3 synchronicities that all seem to point to the similar conclusions. Have you ever heard that big things come in 3's?
So, anyway...I kept getting the "hit" that the number 26 must translate into numerology somehow, and maybe it was really about the master number "8," derived from the combination of the number "2" and "6." For more on numerology, check out this sight:
So, I began searching numerology Web sites and didn't really get a hit from the "life path 8" interpretation or find any other real significance there. Maybe my "8" theory was way off.
Then, a series of synchronicites started happening that lead me to a particular Web site that talked about something called
"The 8th Gate Activation of the 11:11 Part Two."
Okay, now what's going on here? I've been seeing 11:11 at least once a day all week and contemplating how the number 26 must somehow translate into the number 8!
I read a little further and began checking out other websites. Much of what I read seemed a little "airy fairy" for me and I wanted to be able to discount what I was reading, but instead I became more fascinated, as this phenomenon provided quite an alternative answer to the upcoming and highly anticipated 2012 event.
I learned that this past Friday, June 5, 2009, there was an 8th gate second activation that took place in Peru. Rather than try to explain it myself, I will quote explanations from a few sites:

So, what's really going on here? Is there something to all of this...or is it or just a coincidence? I'm not sure. For me, the jury is still out, but it does seem rather powerful ~ and it was like I was guided into this by a series of events that just sort of "happened."
I have always believed that 2012 is NOT about the world ending, but about a new beginning, a sort of metaphorical death taking place making way for a new birth. I'm definately not into the doom's day prophecies that seem to be running rampant these days. I do believe that there is more to it and I do believe that it must be rooted in Love. Beyond that, my guess is as good as anyone else's.
This presentation of information in no way reflects my ultimate view or belief ~ just another contemplation...
Also, I wrote this article this morning, and while I was out this afternoon, I saw "888" twice. Hmmm. I was wondering if I would see it a third time, but I didn't. I suppose the "3" thing could have been insinuated in the fact that there were 3 ~8's. Who knows. Coincidence or synchronicity?
