July 1 begins with the planet Mars entering the sign of Virgo suggesting that we might all be driven (Mars) by a greater sense of attention to details, added concerns about health, safety, small pets and “cleaning up the mess.” (Virgo).
July 2 ushers in Super New Moon in Cancer (the Nurturer, Protector, Counselor, Healer, Hearth Guardian). It takes place at 12 degrees Cancer. New Moons are a time of New Beginnings and a great time to write down some intentions or plant new seeds of growth in some area of your life (if you know where Cancer falls in your chart, that is an excellent place to focus new intent). Cancer is ruled by the Moon, and when Luna is transiting through Cancer, we all might tend to feel a little moody, irritable and racing for the frig to stuff our feelings or searching for a cave to hide in to protect our feelings. The New Moon is the darkest day of the month, meaning that Luna cannot be seen in the midnight sky. It’s not uncommon to feel kind of low, “heavy” and even a little depressed. Some people may tend toward feeling a little melancholy and inward.
July 4-5 the Moon enters Leo suggesting that it’s time to let the Sun shine in! Enjoy the day, as on July 5, Mercury is squabbling with Uranus and are embroiled in a squabble for the rest of the week, which means that things can ignite very quickly and surprising events may catch us off guard, suggesting that a Plan B might be in order. Be careful not to over-react or over-think or say something you can’t take back. Expect the unexpected.
July 6-7 the Moon enters Virgo. Virgo Moons are great for putting things in order and tending to those beloved small pets. There is also a nice Uranus- Venus (our urge to Love & Experience Pleasure) connections, suggesting some possible sudden surprises in the romance department.
July 8-9 the moon enters Libra. These moons are social moons and you may feel like getting together with friends. It may be easy to over-extend yourself now. Hopefully, the build-up of a Mars-Saturn conjunction on July 10 can help to curb any desire to spend too much, do too much or take on too much. Mars-Saturn can also pile on frustrations and restrictions. It is a hot and dry sobering influence. There may be a certain amount of restraint or apprehension…somewhat like trying to drive with the brakes on. Disciplined action is the best way to handle this influence.
July 10-11 brings us to the end of the road with a current situation or project. It is also the Quarter Moon phase, a time when we get to check-in on the intentions we set during the New Moon phase. This is our chance to clear any obstacles that may be blocking our path and re-direct our Focus. Mercury enters Cancer suggesting that sticking close to home and family may be in order for the next few weeks. The Moon enters Scorpio on Friday. Empowerment and Surrender are the lessons here. Things in the relationship department could run into some snags for the next day or so thanks to a Venus-Pluto quincunx.
July 12-13 Venus finally moves into Leo and our hearts will feel brighter and lighter! Time to play more, enjoy more, love more and create more. Also, the Moon will enter the optimistic, buoyant Sagittarius (the Gypsy, the Student , the Philosopher and the Optimist) on the 13th. Watch for over-indulgence under the Sag moon, but otherwise a great weekend!
July 14-15 A day of boating or water sports might be fun today for the next day or two, if you can swing it. Monday is also a great day for business and sales. Energies are high and still optimistc under the Sag Moon and a sweet Sun-Uranus connection. By the end of the day Tuesday, we could find ourselves in need of some serious downtime, as the Moon enters the sobering sign of Capricorn.
July 16-17 Lots happening over the next few days. Use this time for to get some serious business done. Once you have gotten business out of the way, it’s time to turn our attention to play, romance and pleasure as Venus and Pluto form an angle of Magic.
July 18-19 Happy Full Moon in Capricorn on Friday. Under these Full Moons, it is a great tine to thank the Universe for all the Love and Abundance in your life. Whatever it is you desire, give thanks as though you have already received. The moon will slip into Aquarius later in the day on Friday, suggesting trying something new or thinking-out-of-the-box. Go your own way! Might be a good time to focus on humane issues or Cosmic Awareness, skip the rebellion.
July 20-21 Sunday should be quite a pleasurable day with an angle of Magic between Mercury and Neptune. Perhaps some astro-travel? Interests may begin to stir in the midst of our sweet slumber. The Moon will enter Pisces later in the day. These are great moons for nostalgia, contacts with people from our past escaping into a good movie, romance or meditation. Resist the urge for alcohol or drugs. On Monday, thanks to a Moon-Mars opposition, we may feel a bit tired or “hot.”
July 22-24 Happy Birthday Leo! Time to turn our attention toward Sun, fun and creativity! Make sure to wish all the Leo’s in your life a Happy Birthday! The Sun is the center of our Universe and also the ruler of Leo! Leo will surely wish to be the center of attention! With the Moon still in Pisces, being in water can be both soothing and energizing. We are quickly sobered up by the entrance of the Aries moon forming a quincunx to Saturn on Wednesday afternoon, suggesting some possible delays or obstacles or a feeling of avoidance surrounding any “hassle” that could interfere with your free time.
July 25 the moon enters the sensual sign of Taurus. Massages, great food, long bubble bats and attention to our physical comfort and security are highlighted under these moons. This is also the last Quarter Moon…marking the slow entrance of the Balsamic moon period, a time to go inward, reflect, meditate, and let go of any obstacles that are in your way of your connection to Spirit and your Authentic path. Time to clear the “soil” and prepare the ground for the new “seeds” that you will plant next week during the New Moon in Leo.
July 26-27 Mercury enters Leo, and from now until Aug 10, we may find ourselves busy with more socializing and recreational pursuits. The way we look, sound, talk may also gain more attention now. Musicians, artisans and performers of all kinds can be engaging now. Events, plans and projects are all getting a green light.
July 28 The Moon in Gemini always brings a variety of possibilities. With an angel of magic between Mercury and Pluto, a particular direction or choice may now be evident. The Moon officially enters the Balsamic phase.
July 29-31 The Moon re-enters Cancer, where it began at the beginning of the month. Cancer can be moody and the next few days follow suit. Energies swing from smooth and straight forward to off-kilter and crankiness and then back again. The month finishes with a Venus-Neptune opposition. This can be a creative nad romantic aspect, but it can also be full of illusion or projection. Might be best to save that big purchase for another day. August 1 will bring in a Solar Eclipse and will bring whatever is brewing into greater awareness and visibility
